Eric stepped of the platform at York Train Station, assuming Ryan had followed. He had an horrible 7 hours on the plane to Manchester with the state, and an equally horrible 2 hours train journey from Manchester up to York with him, both made even worse by the fact he couldn't risk doing anything to Ryan in punishment without getting arrested.

Still, he was back in York now. York wasn't his biggest city, but it was by far his favourite. He was sure that if any place could turn the lad around, it would be here. As much as he denied it, he couldn't help but see himself as New York's 'mother', and seeing as his father had failed the boy so much, it was now his duty to try and fix him. He just hoped it wasn't too late...

Ryan had bitched and complained and whined the entire trip, save three hours on the plane when he had fallen asleep. He groaned as he looked around, grumpy from the trip. The food on the plane had been terrible, and his stomach was grumbling for something good. While the food Eric had lovingly cooked for him in the past was good, he wasn't sure if everyone in England could cook so well, so he was a bit wary about getting a bite to eat after everything his father told him. "Moooooom" he whined, "Fooooood"

good luck, Eric...LOL

Eric sighed. "Fine, we'll ge' food.." He thought about the places he had to eat here, then grinned wickedly, " I have a grea' pub here, called t' Golden Fleece, come on," He started walking through the city, assuming New York was following. Ryan didn't know what was coming.

He smiled, relieved, and grabbed the other man's hand so they wouldn't get seperated. "Golden Fleece? What kind of food do they have?" he asked, unaware of the other man's possibly ill intentions.

Oh lord what are you going to do to him?

"Traditional British pub food, o' course," Eric replied. as if it was obvious, and continued down the streets, and arrived at the pub, and entered.

Ryan followed him in, rubbing his eyes. He looked around the pub curiously, "Is the food yummy here?" he asked, his voice a bit childlike.

"Of course i is, i's one of mine," Eric said proudly and ordered them both a pint of Yorkshire Terrier, and sat down in the corner of the pub. He smiled and gave Ryan the menu, which had a list of traditional English pub meals. He wasn't going to tell Ryan why he chosen this specific pub until after they'd ordered, "Have wha'ever yer like,"

Yorkshire Terrier is a type of real ale rofl.

He nodded, looking through the menu, raising an eyebrow at one item, "Who the hell eats mashed potatoes with pudding?" he asked, confusing Yorkshire pudding with something similar to chocolate or butterscotch. Eventually, he decided on a burger and leaned back in his seat.

"Burger? Damn American...." He got up again and ordered Ryan his burger, and himself the filled yorkshire pudding. He sat back down with Ryan.

"I've had this pub 'ere fer ova' 500 hundred years yer know...an yer know...," Eric grinned wickedly, "there be 7 spirits 'ere,"

He stared at him, "Spirits? Like...Like ghosts?" he asked, his voice quiet. He was a bit afraid. He wasn't afraid of much, but he had inherited some of his father's fears. Ghosts terrified him.

He tensed and swallowed nervously, feeling his mouth running a bit dry with fear. "R-R-Really? T..They're...They're not mean or s-scary ghosts, are they?" he stammered, reaching out for his mother's hand nervously.

Ryan shuddered and scooted his seat closer to the older male, biting his lip, trying not to make it obvious that he was positively terrified at this moment. "...M-Maybe we should e-eat somewhere else.."

He shook his head frantically, denying it, though his grip on the table made it clear that he wanted to curl up in a little ball and cry. "N-No I..I'm not scared at all!!'

Eric grinned, "Yes yer are, lad,". This was funner than he'd even imagined, and he really did deserve everything he got, being American and all. A moment later they're food arrived, and he started eating happily.

Ryan stared down at his plate, having lost his appetite. He figured Eric would be annoyed, however, if he didn't eat what was already paid for, so he picked up the burger and took a small bite, still shaking in fear, glancing over his shoulder every now and then, as though expecting to see a ghost behind him.

He shook his head, "N-No..I-It's actually pretty good.." He took another bite, starting to relax, comforted by the flavors of a delicious meal. Ryan smiled up at his 'mother' "T-Thank you for bringing me here...e-even i'll probably leave with a curse or something" he whimpered.

"Oh yer'll defin'ly ge cursed, lad, the ghosts ere don' like brats like yeh," he grinned and ate his food. Oh the joys of revenge! Still, he probably shouldn't torture Ryan too much longer, he probably couldn't take much more. Today at least.

Ryan jumped out of his seat at those words and ran from the resturaunt, burger in hand, cursing as he ran out, praying the ghosts wouldn't follow him.
